This is your assignment in Aesthetic Sensitivity and Observarion. The purpose of this is to develop observation skills and cultivate good aesthetic sensitivity. This aptitude helps you in attempting your Theme sketching, coloring of Freehand Drawing and exposure towards design field.
This is a weekly exercise. Each week you need to create minimum 4 presentations and send it to sketchevaluation@dqlabs.in
Note: you need to answer atleast 4 Assignments ( 4 weeks = 16 slides) before we go onto the sketch development course work

(we will guide you through different websites over the next few months. This would give you tremendous exposure to the field of design AND also develops your Aesthetic sensitivity and observation Assignment)
Pick 1 interesting image each from the following 4 categories. (if the website does not has all the below mentioned topics then you may choose 2 images from each available category. But make it a point that you do 4 presentation slides per week)
In this exercise Ignore the functional aspect of the product in the picture. Try appreciating and enjoying the color, proportion and presentation of the product and the total photograph.
1. You need to write One word that describes the picture best –
2. Write short notes on your observation-
You can write about - Why you liked it? What is unique in this? Color scheme? Proportion and scale? What is not good? Suggestions?
All the submissions should be in jpeg format with file size less than100kb.
Before you attempt this Assignment. You need to prepare yourself:
1. Study through chapters 3. Elements of Design. 4. Theory of Colors and 7 Perspective Drawing of your One Year NATA & Architecture Aptitude Correspondence Study Material.
2. You need to use the ppt template accompanied in this mail for all your assignments .there are two templates in the file. If your image is horizontal use the first slide, if it is rectangular then use the second slide.
Note: You may have to learn some basic operation in PowerPoint to create the slides. Take help from some one who knows operating power point and eventually learn from them how to create the ppt’s.. Remember that making ppt presentations is part and parcel of a designers life. It is worthwhile to learn it and use it asap.
